Time to Analyze Your Week and Take Action

In business we often run reports and statistics to analyze how good the organization is doing or what areas needs improvement. In fact, a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) is a great way to measure performance against a goal. It’s used to gauge trends in order to help take action. I believe it is also a good idea to do so with your health and fitness. You will need to determine how often but ideally it should be a reoccurring effort. Try to keep it simple, timely and actionable.

This week, I noticed an imbalance in my movements and decrease in energy. I decided it was a good idea to analyze my week so that I can make adjustments as needed. I immediately detected my sleep patterns were off. I added a lot of tasks (business and personal) and compromised sleep. This doesn’t work well for me. Getting the appropriate rest helps my all around productivity.  I also noticed a slight change with my eating habits. That late BAG of chips while working on my e-book may have helped my creativity but it didn’t provide positive results health wise.

The good news is that this is an easy fix! I am consciously aware of my roadblocks. It is now time to take action. This weekend I will work on my schedule so that my fresh start on Monday is great.

  1. I have found that reflecting weekly and sometimes daily helps me to maintain accountability and keep focused. If I don’t reflect, then I typically fall off course.
